Day 2: Cooking & Eating, Lowcountry-Style

On Saturday, you’ll have breakfast at your leisure, and then we’ll join Chef Rashaunda Grant for a cooking class and lunch. Rushaunda is a local chef and owner of Carolina Cookery, where she teaches Lowcountry traditional cooking and caters special events at some of Charleston’s most beautiful venues. We’ll participate in her “High on the Hog” cooking class and enjoy lunch under the swaying oak trees (weather permitting, of course).

Then, you’ll have the afternoon to rest up at the hotel, or enjoy shopping on King Street in Charleston’s Historic District. The adorable boutiques and ultra-Instagrammable buildings are jaw-dropping and dripping with charm and personality.

We’ll have our special fine-dining experience on Saturday night, meeting in the hotel lobby and then heading to our reservation at Husk, one of Charleston’s best-loved Southern restaurants. After dinner, if you want to grab a drink with your new friends, Holly will be happy to provide a list of fun bars and lounges where you can wrap up the night in style.
